Landmark on the Sound, the beautiful venue that served as
the home of the last three HJC Festivals, is no longer available. The building, once the Washington State
Masonic Retirement Home, has been sold and is no longer hosting events. Folks who attended any of the last three
Festivals know that there is no venue comparable to
Landmark in the Highline area.
Burien Arts Association is committed to continuing the
Festival and we see the necessary course change as an opportunity to
restructure and make our popular Classic Jazz experience available to an even
wider audience. The current plan is to
bring the Festival back home to Burien, add more bands and more stages, and
include some new elements to an already fun and exciting program.
Because additional time is required to plan and prepare for
the 2015 HCJF, the next Festival will be in the early fall rather than March.
Please check in with us here, or at www.burienarts.org, over the coming months
for further updates. Meanwhile, take a
